Can I work and get PIP?

Yes. PIP is not an out-of-work benefit. You can be in work, including full-time work, and still be entitled. The test is the 12 tasks, not your hours or your wage.

  • Earning more does not reduce PIP. It is not means-tested and it is not taxed as earnings.
  • Work can be evidence either way. If the job needs the same tasks you say you cannot do, explain the difference. If the job has been changed around the condition, say what was changed.

What to say about the job

Say which tasks at work you cannot do reliably, who covers them, and what happens on the days you cannot go in. A wage slip does not answer that.

Do not stop working because you think it will help the claim. The award does not depend on being out of work.
