Who can get a Funeral Expenses Payment?
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the person responsible for the funeral can claim if a qualifying benefit is in payment. Money can be recovered from the estate later. Scotland uses Funeral Support Payment from Social Security Scotland, not this DWP payment.
