How do I apply for Council Tax Reduction?

Apply to your own council, not to DWP. Council Tax Reduction is local. A single-person discount is a different thing, and you can get both. Universal Credit or Pension Credit can help you qualify, but the council sets the scheme and the amount.

• In Wales some councils call it the Council Tax Reduction Scheme. In Scotland it is Council Tax Reduction. The application is still local.
